Welcome to Easeful AI ("Easeful," "we," "our," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Easeful mobile application and the easeful.pointerapps.net website (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully.
Important: Easeful is a wellness app, not a medical device, therapy, or crisis service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US/Canada) or see our Safety page for resources in your region.
By creating an account, using a guest session, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Easeful. Users aged 13–17 should review these Terms with a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
Easeful lets you try the Service without creating a full account. Guest sessions are temporary (three days) and are designed to be converted into a full account before expiry. Guest data is stored under an anonymous identifier and is subject to the same privacy protections as authenticated account data.

You retain ownership of the content you create in Easeful (journal entries, mood logs, chat messages, garden state). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not publish your content, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train public AI models.
Easeful's AI companion generates responses using an AI language model. While we work hard to make responses gentle and helpful, AI can still be wrong, miss context, or produce outputs that are unsuitable for your situation.
Easeful, the Easeful logo, the "Colorful Calm" design system, and all app content (other than your own content) are the property of Pointer Apps and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.
The Service integrates with third parties including Apple, RevenueCat, Appwrite, OpenRouter, and Google (AI model provider). Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
You can stop using the Service at any time and permanently delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued access would expose us or other users to harm or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will do so.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content (including AI-generated content) will be accurate or reliable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pointer Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.
You agree to indemnify and hold Pointer Apps, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pointer Apps is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law grants you the right to use courts in your country.
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Pointer Apps, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support. In the event the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app, to the extent permitted by law. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
